Why is STEAM an integral part of the My Kindy Curriculum?
At My Kindy we believe that every child is an individual with their own social, emotional, intellectual, physical abilities and interests. We provide an active learning environment, where each child’s individuality is respected, valued and fostered. As a ‘Little Scientists House’ each My Kindy service is committed to providing quality, hands-on, inquiry-based STEAM learning.
Empowerment
Our holistic program empowers children to explore STEAM with confidence and joy. Our Educators understand that children intrinsically want to learn and develop an understanding of the world around them. Our My Kindy centres provide a range of tools, resources and educational concepts that support the implementation of child-led discovery and research.
Our curriculum recognises that from the moment they are born, children accumulate experience and knowledge. The more they experience, the more their understanding on a concept can develop. Our Educators support each child’s development by recognising that their prior knowledge needs to be identified and built upon.
