Language Program

Nikko Nikko Japanese

t’s never too early to begin learning a language: it’s fun, it promotes healthy development, and the many cognitive and social benefits will last a lifetime. Research shows that learning a second language boosts problem-solving, critical thinking, and listening skills, in addition to improving memory, concentration, and the ability to multitask. Children proficient in other languages also show signs of enhanced creativity and mental flexibility. Nikko Nikko Japanese teaches children at My Kindy aged from two to five years to speak Japanese. Our focus is to create a casual and fun learning environment where young children readily learn through play like activities. By engaging children in a rich and fun language program, children will grow to become caring global citizens who can communicate with and appreciate people from other countries and cultures.

Language & Culture

Language development is a critical part of your child’s overall development. It supports your child’s ability to communicate, express and understand feelings. It also supports thinking and problem-solving, and developing and maintaining relationships. Learning to understand, use and enjoy language is the critical first step in literacy, and the basis for learning to read and write.

My Kindy provides language programs for children from 18 months old to support learning in languages other than English which helps children to improve their overall literacy and understanding of how language in general works.

Education experts have found that there are many benefits to children learning in another language at a young age, including:

  • increased literacy
  • cognitive flexibility
  • bolstering self-esteem and wellbeing
  • strengthened cultural identity.
